Hello everyone,

Happy New Year! Sorry it has been a while since out last post but the first month of 2012 has already proven to be one of the best so far in the short history of Rose & Lee Vintage Living!

We have been busy, busy, busy, following the amazing coverage we received in the the Sunday Times Style Magazine earlier in the month and due to massive customer demand we decided to open our showroom to the public on Saturdays & Sundays 10am -4pm.

The showroom is full of one off individual vintage and antiques pieces and lots of lovely gifts for the homes or loved ones.

A Very Vintage Engagement…..

Rose and Lee Vintage Living are very happy to announce the engagement of one of our customers! A massive congratulations to Liana and Mark who got engaged on Christmas Day, with some help from Rose & Lee!!

Liana came to us in October to buy a special present for her now husband to be Mark, she was hunting for a vintage typrwriter to gift him for Christmas and we found her a very special ex military war cabinet typewriter in full working order and excellent condition!

The rest of the story can be told in Liana’s words…..

“Hello! Mark absolutely loved his typewriter! Proper chuffed! The first thing he typed on it was “Will you marry me?” and then he produced a very lovely antique ring! You have helped to make this an oh so memorable Christmas! So thank you very much! Merry Christmas and feel better knowing you’ve helped make me a very happy lady!! X”

Rose and Lee wish Liana and Mark lots of love and we are looking forward to seeing the wedding snaps.

Promising a veritable feast of antique, handmade and vintage curiosities.  The vintage lineup includes artists, design-makers and dealers in glorious vintage clothing, homewares and antique treasures.

Prestwich Vintage Life Extravaganza 18th December 2011

Rose and Lee Vintage Living extend a warm invitation to join us at our 2011 Christmas Prestwich Vintage Life Extravaganza on Sunday 18th December 2011 at The Longfield Suite,Prestwich M25 1AY from 10.00am – 4.00pm.    

This is our third Extravaganza and is proving popular a event, always a joy to attend with over 25 stalls brimming with scrumptious ideas for Christmas gifts (or a treat for yourself!).

Showcasing some of the best vintage dealers, artists & creative designer-makers from the Prestwich & beyond, it is a day not to be missed.

With everything from vintage china & glass, toys & games, books & ephemera, fabrics & haberdashery, homewares & more, plus handmade hats, quilts, notebooks, cards, purses, bags, soaps & even Christmas cakes, you should be able to find a unique gift for everyone on your Christmas list in a friendly & relaxed atmosphere.

So much better than the same old high street commercial gifts & at affordable prices too!

Our popular Vintage Tea Room with cakes by the now local famous Brooke’s Cupcakes will once again be open providing you with refreshments & a place to take a break, meet friends & have a chat with fellow vintage enthusiasts or simply sit back, relax and read the Sunday papers!

Santa will also be making a very special visit on the day to talk to all the children, young & old. There will also be children’s craft lessons so Mum & Dad can relax and soak up the atmosphere & get that all important last minute present buying done!

Entrance is free & there is plenty of free parking all around Prestwich Village which has a fabulous High Street filled with independent shops so make a day of it!

Upcoming Events for Rose and Lee Vintage Living – Friends of the 40′s

We can confirm the Rose and Lee Vintage Living will be showcasing our lovely vintage homewards and vintage gifts at the upcoming ‘Friends of the 40′s’ event on Sunday 27th November, so come see us and get some christmas goodies x

Promising a day full of vintage entertainment and retro shopping with a Christmas theme. Including period make-up artists and hair stylists alongside gems like Hawaiian collectables and Tikki treats, it sounds like everyone will be catered for at this fair!

Prizes for the best dressed so get your best vintage on! Lashings of morning coffee and afternoon tea, traditional soft drinks and wonderful home-made cakes are available to purchase on the day, with all proceeds going to Rotary’s children’s charities.
